Happy Sunday! Did you remember to set your clocks back? I’m happy for an extra hour of sleep, but not so happy about it getting dark outside so much earlier.
Yesterday afternoon, we went to a craft fair where Marlene was showcasing her delicious desserts from her dessert company, Sweet Temptations Dessert Co.
She had so many goodies for sale and on display.
Cupcakes and cakes:
Brownies and cranberry bars:
I made sure to taste a little bit of everything, and Marlene sent us home with a box of goodies after the show was over. Danny’s favorite was the red velvet cupcakes, and I loved the cranberry bars and peppermint bark.
While we were there, I browsed around a bit and found this cute coffee travel mug for Jaden’s kindergarten teacher for Christmas.
It’s decorated for a teacher with a place for the child to write a little message and inside the cup is a pair of socks! How cute is that?!
I think these would also be a cute and easy thing to make at home. Between this cup and some ideas I’ve seen on Pinterest, I have a few ideas for holiday gifts to make, if I have the time. Sometimes the holidays get crazy busy, and convenience wins out over time-consuming projects, but I’m going to try!
- 2.52 miles – treadmill
Total Pile on the Miles: 7.13 miles
I didn’t get as much time as I would like at the gym this morning, so I did a quick 2.5 miles. I don’t normally go to the gym on Sundays, and I thought they opened at 7 am. I got to the gym at 7:10 am and didn’t see a car or another person in sight. It turns out that they open at 8 am on Sundays.
So, I went back home, waited awhile, and then got back to the gym at 8 am and hopped onto the treadmill. Besides wanting to get my exercise in for the day, my biggest reason to go to the gym this morning was because I only needed one more stamp on my bingo card to turn it in. See, bingo really is motivating.
When I got home from the gym, Danny and Jaden were busy doing yard work.
Danny likes to keep busy on the weekends. I like to be lazy, which is why I love drinking coffee and reading the newspaper ads on Sunday morning.
This morning, we have to plans to go over to my in-laws and visit with my newest baby nephew. After that, we’re taking the kids to see Wreck it Ralph at the movie theater.
Have a great Sunday!
