Pink Treadmill

My gym just got in a pink treadmill for the annual pink ribbon run. During October, each mile completed on the pink treadmill earns 10 cents, which will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. How cool is that?! I will be running my miles on the pink treadmill.

Then at the end of October, they raffle off the treadmill! Raffle tickets are $20 each and I’m debating buying one. I love the treadmill, but I don’t know where it would possibly fit in my house.

Last Night’s Workout

  • Elliptical – 33 minutes
  • Biggest Loser Workout – 60 minutes

I got to the gym before my Biggest Loser workout last night, and jumped on the elliptical for a quick workout. I usually do the “weight loss” program on the elliptical, which is a crossramp of 4 and a resistance of 1 for 4 minutes and then a crossramp of 10 and a resistance of 8 for 4 minutes. This repeats for a total of 28 minutes with a 5 minute cool down.

I was actually having a lot of fun on the elliptical last night. I had the most random songs on play on my iPod and I couldn’t help dancing and wiggling my hips a bit on the elliptical machine. Don’t you ever hear that song that just makes it impossible not to dance and song along?!

The Biggest Loser workout went good, and I was a hot sweaty mess by the time I was done. By the time I got home, I was starving. Luckily, my wonderful husband put dinner in the oven for me. I had my beloved salmon belle mar with roasted brussels sprouts and carrots and a clementine (my third one of the day!) Those little clementines are so juicy and delicious.

For dessert, I had one of these Weight Watcher ice cream bars. Not too bad for only 100 calories. Although, the half dipped chocolate is kind of a tease.

Today

I didn’t go to Butts and Guts class this morning because Jaden and Jacob had meet the teachers at their schools.

We went to Jacob’s middle school first, got his schedule, and walked around to each class. I think Jacob is a bit nervous about starting middle school because it’s so different from elementary school. I told him that it would take a few days to learn everything and get to know his way around, but after a while it would be easier.

He has one class called career and technical studies where the kids spend a few days at each computer station before moving to the next. My favorite computer station was breakfast nutrition. How fun is that?!

Other stations included forensic science, problem solving, and flight engineering.

After Jacob’s school, we had a little time to kill before going to Jaden’s school, so we stopped at Starbucks.

My all time favorite drink is the caramel frappuccino light. I haven’t had one is forever, and surprisingly it only has about 100 calories.

We headed to Jaden’s school next, and he was so excited. He is very happy to start kindergarten.

Tomorrow is the first day back to school. Summer just flew by. Fortunately, fall is my favorite season. :)

I’m going to try to go to the gym later tonight since I missed this morning. I saw they offer a cardio dance class that I’m thinking about taking. Not that I’m any good at dancing.
