I recently received a pair of the new Reebok ZQuick shoes to try out. Before I get into all the ZQuick’s features, I have to say that these are the most comfortable and well fitting shoes that I have ever worn. Every time I have gone to the gym lately, I have reached for these shoes.
The Reebok ZQuick shoes are designed specifically for running. The shoe design is based off of the Z-rated tires which lets the unique outsole deliver control, traction, and speed. Z-rated sports car tires are rated for speeds in excess of 149mph. Essentially, ZQuick provides the same speed and handling for your feet.
I love that these shoes fit different than other shoes – they’re low cut with a bootie-like fit.
The nanoweb shoe design keeps your foot locked in, supported, and centered. These are a lightweight shoe and I was worried that they wouldn’t offer enough support, but I was pleasantly surprised at how stable my foot felt in these.
I wore them to run on the Woodway treadmill – between the specialized treadmill and the ZQuick shoes, I didn’t have any of the normal pain that I usually do while running. I also wore these shoes to run sprints in bootcamp.
I liked them so much that I wore them to teach BodyPump too.
The grooves underfoot allow the midsoles to flex and expand, increasing ground contact. The foot can then move naturally while still keeping the foot stable. They also have CRTek high abrasion rubber in key wear areas for lighter durability.
Bottom line is that they’re awesome shoes. I told Danny how much I loved these shoes and told him that he should look into getting a pair. You can find the new Reebok ZQuick shoes online or at Finish Line.
