First day of school!
The first day of school is always kind of bittersweet. I’m ready for the kids to go back to school (and so are they) but I miss them when they’re gone all day! It’s always an adjustment going from school to summer and then summer to school.
I think my niece will be saddest when I go to pick her up today and her cousins aren’t there. She loves them so much. I guess we’ll have quality auntie/niece time.
- BodyPump – 60 minutes
I went to BodyPump this morning and I plan on getting started on memorizing the chest track at home this afternoon. I have the back track pretty much memorized, I just have to continue to practice it so that I don’t forget any of it.
After BodyPump, I had a Lemon Alt Larabar.
They’re good, I just feel like they’re so dry. I think I’m going to stick with the regular Larabars. (I think I have said that ten times already yet I continue to buy the Alt bars).
On the way to pick up my niece, I stopped at Target and bought some hand weights to practice the chest track.
I have 8 pound hand weights at home but when I practice the track over and over again, those can get a little heavy. And, I can always use the lighter hand weights for other exercises.
Lunch this afternoon was one of my favorites – English muffin hummus melts.
They are so good and so quick and easy to make!
I shared some of the spinach with my niece.
I thought she was eating it, but it turns out that she was spitting it all over her dress when I wasn’t looking. Sneaky.
I’m off to practice BodyPump until Jacob gets home from school! Have a great afternoon!
- Do you use weights at home? I have some exercise equipment at home (weights, kettlebell, resistance band, stability ball, etc.) but I still prefer working out at the gym.
