Happy Friday! It’s the kids last day of summer break before they go back to school on Monday!
- BodyPump – 60 minutes
Going to the gym:
My right hip and glute have been sore from practicing BodyPump at home, so today at the gym I stretched during the squat and lunge tracks so my legs could rest.
The instructor was really nice and gave me a lot of info about the certification weekend and said she would help me practice my tracks at the gym if I wanted her to.
At first, I was so nervous that learning the whole track would be so hard to do, but I actually memorized the whole back track pretty quickly. I can do it pretty good without any notes and only using the CD. I do have to work on my timing a bit though. Next, I will be tackling the chest track.
The fitness manager let me borrow a body bar to take home and practice with.

I debated which weight to bring home and I decided to go with the lightest – 9 lbs. Since I practice the track 4-5 times in a row and it’s over five minutes long, I figured that it would be best to practice with a light weight. During actual BodyPump classes, I go heavier.

This afternoon we’re headed to my kids schools for a meet the teacher day.
Tomorrow we have my nephew’s first birthday party. I can’t believe how fast time flies by!
