GNC Lean Shake 25

First off, congrats to my sister-in-law, Crystal, for signing up for her first half marathon! She signed up to run the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon in Florida in November. The cool part is that the race is at night, and her birthday is the next day, so she will actually be running at midnight on her 30th birthday!

What a cool way to celebrate your 30th birthday! Marlene is also running the race with her. Marlene is a marathoner, so she’ll do awesome! They’ll both do awesome, and I’m so proud of both of them!!

Today’s Workout

  • BootCamp – 65 minutes
  • 1 mile treadmill, walked slow
  • Plank #23 – 3 minutes 10 seconds

When my alarm went off at 6:35 am this morning, I did not want to get out of bed. But I knew that I would feel better if I worked out and got my workout out of the way early in the day, so I got my butt up and went to BootCamp.

BootCamp was tough this morning. The instructor had  different stations set up, and we spent 2 minutes at each station. Then we did it again. After BootCamp, I walked slow on the treadmill to cool down and loosen up my legs a bit. I finished up with plank #23!

Post-Workout Snack

My post-workout snack/breakfast was awesome this morning! I made a strawberry orange cream smoothie.

GNC recently sent me their limited edition orange cream flavor to try out, and my immediate thought was how delicious it would be in a smoothie.

The GNC Lean Shake 25  has 25 grams of protein, 9 grams of fiber, and is low carb. I love the orange cream flavor. Usually when you go to the store, the typical flavors are chocolate and vanilla, so I loved that this orange cream flavor was something different.

Dreamsicle, anyone?!

The GNC Lean Shake 25 is also great mixed as water for a meal replacement. It is a well-balanced blend of protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and fat. They recommend drinking two shakes daily, with a healthy meal, and exercise as a weight management program.

I love smoothies, so I used the orange cream Lean Shake 25 to make one.

In my smoothie:

  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen peaches
  • 1 scoop GNC Lean Shake 25 orange cream powder
  • 4 ounces Trop50 orange juice
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • crushed ice

Blend and enjoy!

This is probably one of my favorite smoothies that I’ve made! The orange cream really adds to the flavor.

The rest if the morning will be spent hard boiling five dozen eggs for Easter egg dying fun tonight!

That might seem like a lot of eggs, but I’ve already cracked half a dozen of them :)

    I like vanilla protein because it is so versatile!!
