Super Bowl Sunday!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

Even though I’m not a huge football fan (Danny’s a big enough fan for the both of us), I still enjoy the excitement of the game, spending time with family, the commercials, and the food!

Yesterday’s Workout

  • 1.5 miles treadmill, walked
  • Boot Camp – 60 minutes

I had some guests at Boot Camp yesterday – Danny and my step-mom joined me for Boot Camp! My dad came over at 6:45 am to stay with the kids while the three of us did Boot Camp.

Yesterday’s Boot Camp was football themed because of the Super Bowl. Even though it was a “fun” workout, it was still tough!

Breakfast

Breakfast was peanut butter french toast with egg whites and fruit.

Which I ate while reading the newest issue of Runner’s World magazine.

I spent the rest of the afternoon making chili for our chili cook-off today.

I don’t eat or like chili, so Danny was the official taste tester, and he said that it came out delicious! I am also making this potato recipe that I found via Pinterest. I have made it a few times now, and it is so good. I love potatoes…and bread…and pretty much any carb.

Today’s Workout

  • 20/20/20 Class
  • .71 miles treadmill, walked slow

Today’s cardio potluck class was 20/20/20 – twenty minutes of aerobics, 20 minutes of step, and 20 minutes of abs. It was a great class, but I was just so tired and out of it this morning. I went to bed early last night, but had a terrible time sleeping, and I’m paying for it day. I’ve already had quite a few cups of coffee.

I finished up my workout by walking slowly on the treadmill for about 15 minutes. My quad still hurts so I’m taking it easy, and luckily, my workouts will be a little bit less this week.

When I got home from the gym, Jaden had this cute card waiting for me…

I can’t wait until Valentine’s Day :)

It’s snowy and cold here today in Chicagoland. Danny and I have different ideas about keeping warm.

I am usually freezing even inside, and am always wearing a billion layers and keep myself wrapped in a blanket. Apparently the cold has so effect on Danny.

He’s crazy.

Have a great Sunday and enjoy the Super Bowl!

  • Any plans for today?
  • What are you most looking forward to eating?
  • Do you like chili?
  • Did you workout today?

  1. Looking at that picture of your husband in shorts and a T just makes me feel cold! *shivering*!!

  2. I’m motivated to exercise today due in no small part to the number of wings I’ll be consuming. The plan is to have wings, home made gluten free pizza and nachos. Because I only buy wings a few times a year I’m most excited about them. I enjoyed your post. Cheers.

  3. Key Master

Love chilli !! I like chilli with beans, the way is was meant to be eaten. Some claim chilli with no beans is better, but thats their opinion. it was nice to see beans in your chilli!!
I don’t care who wins the Superbowl as long as the score wines up in one of my squares on the Superbowl board.

  4. You don’t like chili?!? I’m a big fan, but I’m a bit particular about it. Lots of veggies! Hilarious picture of Danny–boys can be so crazy!

  5. Being from the South, I kind of have to like chili but it gives me heartburn so I don’t eat it very often. It is the best topped with lots of Fritos, onions and cheese, YUM!!!!

I am making some Buffalo turkey meatballs for the game tonight. Nothing special cause I have to make sure I don’t screw up my Diet Bet weigh-in. Ha!!

    • Fritos is a great idea! I plan on haing a few snacks tonight and getting back on track tomorrow. I’m so close, but I don’t know if I’ll make it! Good for you for staying so strong!!
