Can You Pass me That Bow and Arrow

Last Night’s Workout

  • Elliptical – 30 minutes

Danny and I went to the gym again last night.

Danny’s really good at motivating me to go to the gym at night. Mostly I just want to stay home and be lazy on the couch. But we are on a Fantasy Fitness League mission! So far, I think we have a billion workouts this week.

We worked out on side-by-side elliptical because we’re cute like that. Danny finally took his headphones out because I wouldn’t stop talking to him. But hey, I never have a workout buddy!

Then, we came home and had a snack. Danny had Special K protein cereal and I had a caramel pineapple Greek yogurt and an Atkin’s bar.

Today’s Workout

  • 1.75 miles treadmill
  • BodyPump – 60 minutes

I did a quick 1.75 miles on the treadmill this morning before heading to BodyPump. After I was done working out, I signed Jacob up for archery classes. It’s about to get all Hunger Games up in here.

Just kidding – we won’t be learning to fight for his life. He just wanted to try archery, so I signed him up for lessons. It should be interesting. I’m excited to see how it goes. They even have adult archery lessons…

Lunch

I had breakfast for lunch today (and yes, I actually ate breakfast this morning). This was just breakfast x 2. I had egg whites, toast with pb, and apple slices.

Tomorrow night my wonderful mom is watching the kids, and Danny and I are going out to dinner. We have been eating really good lately and working out a lot, so we plan to enjoy ourselves at dinner without any guilt. Sometimes, it’s important to enjoy a nice meal and not worry about every single calorie or food you’re eating.

We plan to enjoy ourselves but not go overboard, and just have a nice meal together. There might even be some red velvet cake involved…

Have a wonderful weekend! If I can get my butt up tomorrow, I am going to try to make it to the 7 am Boot Camp at my gym!

  • Do you have any plans this weekend?
  • What’s the last restaurant you ate at?
  • Did you play any sports as a kid? Favorite sport?

  1. Weekend plans include a board game night with friends, a massage, and lots of workouts! I love breakfast for lunch or dinner. Mostly I think i just like breakfast. Good luck on your Fantasy Fitness challenge!

  2. Red velvet cake sounds good right about now! I totally agree with you that it’s good to still have meals you really enjoy. That’s awesome that you’ve got such a great gym motivator. Haha I’m always chatty on the elliptical or during a run. It makes it go by faster! Hope you guys have a nice relaxing evening!

  3. No plans this weekend! Just some R&R and doing my errands.

  4. Running group in the morning. Lets hope I can run after the boot camp class I took tonight. Gotta get some laundry and cleaning done then hope to relax for the rest of the weekend!!

  5. Nothing wrong with having breakfast twice in a day.. or even for every meal :) Have an amazing date with Danny this weekend xoxo

    When I was a kid & teenager I was… a cheerleader, softball player, and I wrestled..

  6. Key Master

A young William Tell in the family now….huh. Good for him. I must say I never had one of my kids ask “could you sign me up for archery”. I guess the Hunger Games made an impression on him.
    Enjoy your night out!!
