Full House

Good afternoon!

Not eating breakfast yesterday really threw off my eating for the whole day. I ate breakfast at 10:30 am, then had only an apple at my normal lunchtime, and then ate lunch at 3 pm. It was a mess. Then, I had a run-in with a Ghirardelli chocolate bar…and lost.

Whatever. That chocolate was delicious. But I guess I could have stopped after a square or two instead of eating the almost the whole bar. I blame my lack of breakfast :)

I made sure to eat breakfast today – Special K with protein and almond milk.

This morning I dropped little Jaden off at the bus stop.

He told his bus driver, my mommy is watching two babies today.¬†And yes, yes I am. Besides my niece, who I normally watch during the week, I am babysitting my adorable new nephew. So, this afternoon, I will have two kids and two babies. Should be interesting. I give a lot of credit to moms that have more than two kids. It’s tough.

After Jaden got on the bus, I headed to the gym. I got a few congratulations from people on winning the fitness bingo which was nice.

Today’s Workout

  • Elliptical – 22 minutes
  • Butts and Guts Class – 60 minutes

I forgot to mention it yesterday, but we did the new BodyPump release. There is a lot going on in that new release! I really liked the biceps track because we use hand weights instead of a bar bell. Does anyone take bodypump? Have you done the new release yet?

If you’re not familiar¬†with BodyPump, a new release comes out every three months, I believe. Each release has new tracks (songs) and new moves for each track. Each song is done to a certain muscle group, so that you’re hitting all the major muscle groups in a 60 minute class.

Here’s how the tracks are broken down (each one lasts approx. 4-5 minutes)

  • warm-up
  • squats
  • chest
  • back, hams, and glutes
  • triceps
  • biceps
  • lunges (and more squats!)
  • shoulders
  • abs
  • cool down

If you’ve never taken BodyPump, I definitely recommend it. It’s a great workout!
