Last night was a movie and popcorn kind of night.
We went to Blockbuster to rent a movie yesterday (yes, they still exist!) I can’t even tell you the last time that I went to Blockbuster. We always go to Redbox, but I’ve been dying to see Bridesmaids after my mom told me how funny it was, and Redbox doesn’t have it.
It was a super funny movie – I actually thought Melissa McCarthy was hilarious in it! Did anyone used to watch Gilmore Girls and remember her as Sookie? I loved Gilmore Girls and it always made me feel like I wanted to live in a small town.
This morning, I had plans to go to the gym, but I woke up still feeling under the weather. The kind of sickness were you don’t even want to get off the couch, let alone go to the gym. Danny was so sweet and brought me a gingerbread latte and spinach and feta wrap from Starbucks, which I got sick from immediately after eating. Boo.
I have been wanting to try the gingerbread latte and honestly, it wasn’t all that great. I always try new drinks from Starbucks in hopes that I’ll love them, and I never do. As much as I love coffee, I’m not really a fan of Starbucks. I prefer Dunkin Donuts or McDonald’s coffee. They only drink I do like from Starbucks are the caramel frappuccinos in the summer.
Since I didn’t go to the gym, I decided to do the next best thing – bake! We’re going to my grandparent’s house today, and even thought we’re making pumpkin rolls, I wanted to bring something with. There have been a few recipes on Pinterest that I have been dying to try, and I figured this would be the perfect opportunity since were getting together with family. Otherwise, whatever I bake will be sitting at home, and I will be tempted to eat all of it!!
The recipe I tried out was Snickerdoodle Blondies from My Own Sweet Thyme. I love Snickerdoodles cookies, and I figured they must be delicious in bar form! Luckily, I had most of the ingredients on hand. The only thing I had to purchase was butter.
These Snickerdoodles are not a healthy recipe, but everything in moderation!
The snickerdoodles blondies came out so delicious! They were nice and soft and full of cinnamon sugar flavor!
Questions of the day:
- What are the last Do thing you baked?
- Do you like Snickerdoodles?
- Any plans for today?
