Yesterday’s Evening Workout

  • Elliptical – 18 minutes
  • Yoga Class – 60 minutes

I finally made it back to yoga after four months! I definitely need to work on improving my balance again! Despite what you might think, yoga is not an easy class. We focus on a lot of ab and core movements, which can be tough. And the transitions from pose to pose is very quick sometimes, so you aren’t getting a lot so time to rest. I know yoga isn’t for everyone, but it has some wonderful health benefits.


Today’s Workout

  • 3.45 miles pink treadmill
  • 12 minutes stretching

My run on the treadmill went okay. I did have to stop to walk for about 2 minutes. I get so tired, and my mind gives up before my body does. I just wanted to get in at least 3.1 miles before the 5k on Sunday. I think I’m ready!

I have been slacking on stretching lately (although yoga does help!) so I made sure to stretch a bit after I ran. Then, I treated myself to some McDonald’s coffee.

Please ignore my everyday crazy gym hair.

In completely unrelated news, I bought Jaden a new hat.

Isn’t it adorable? This kid loves his hats. I also bought Baby McCutie a cute pink plaid outfit. She wore it while checking her email on my phone.

Just kidding – she doesn’t have her own email yet. We’re waiting until she’s at least two.


Lunch this afternoon was peanut butter stuffed french toast, scrambled egg whites, and Fage strawberry Greek yogurt.

After lunch, I went to my brother’s house to pick up my niece. When I got there, he asked me if I was wearing slippers.

Yes, I’m wearing slippers, but if you pretend like they’re real than that means they are real. Duh.

Then, I ate a mini Snickers to make myself feel better for not wearing real shoes.

Geesh, at least they weren’t pink and fuzzy slippers.

Questions of the day:

  • Please tell me that I’m not the only one who wears slippers outside of the house. In my defense, I was only going to pick up my niece and then back home.

  2. I remember being in middle school & we had a snow day & my Mom let us play outside in our slippers, I thought it was the coolest thing! Maybe she was a bit stir-crazy & just wanted us out of the house! I’m trying to do more yoga, have you looked at YogaGlo.com? It’s an awesome online (you eventually have to subscribe) tool. And that hat is AMAZING :)

    Your slipper are super cute. I wear my slipper out all the time not lately b/c I step in dog poop with them last week.

  5. I have a pair I wear everywhere, they are lined and super comfy. I don’t care.

  6. My lunch was horrible today and I was so pissed at myself for eating something that came in a paper bag and was handed to me through a window. I vow to STOP doing that immediately!

    I don’t wear slippers out of the house but only because I don’t have any. I would never wear them to the store or anything but you better believe I would sport them in the car while taking my daughter to school!

    Lunch today was two tacos shoved down my throat as quickly as I could eat them…ha!!! With all the painting we have been doing, lunch is the last thing I have the time for.

    If i am running kids somewhere and don’t leave car i wear my slippers and sometimes my pJ’s!. I love yogs but our craptastic park district don’t have diddly squat for classes to anything let alone yoga. Lunch was a Wendys Apple chicken 1/2 size salad and baked potato. Yummy!
