Who Lives in a Pineapple Under the Sea

Thank you everyone who commented yesterday on my body image post. It made me realize that we all deal with our own struggles, but it’s how we deal with those struggles that really matters.

Yesterday

I saw this while driving to the gym yesterday and it made me happy.

If I needed to wear a backpack for any reason, you better believe it would be SpongeBob… or maybe Hello Kitty.

Yesterday’s Evening Workout

  • H.I.I.T. – 30 minutes

The new high intensity interval training class at my gym yesterday was tough. I guess I kind of should have expected that because you’re doing an hour’s worth of working out in a half hour. I was sweating like crazy by the end of the 30 minutes.

We did cardio exercises for 20 seconds and the rested for 20 seconds. We did four different exercises and repeated each set six times.

It was a really good class, but I don’t think I’m going to sign up for it just because the time is kind of hard. It starts at 5:30 pm and Danny doesn’t even get home until 5:30 pm. So, yesterday, I just waited in the car with the kids at the gym until Danny came to pick them up and then I went to the class. I’m already going to meet him at the gym on Mondays for spin class, and it will be too much of a pain to do it twice a week.

Last night, we went to my dad’s house for dinner. He made lasagna.

He even made a meat-free portion for me. Actually, I take that back. He made lasagna for everyone else. He made me assemble my own lasagna since I don’t eat meat and he thinks that dumb. Don’t worry, Dad, I still love you.

The pictures aren’t the greatest because I forgot my camera and had to use my phone, but you get the idea.

Today

Breakfast courtesy of my wonderful husband.

I am obsessed with McDonald’s monopoly. Well, actually I am obsessed with any kind of game where you get to collect things for prizes.

I collect Coke points even though I don’t drink Coke. I collect McDonald’s monopoly pieces even though I don’t eat their food (except for the oatmeal and yogurt occasionally). I am addicted.

They used to put Monopoly pieces on their coffee which worked out nicely because their coffee is my favorite thing there. Then they stopped. Boo.

Today’s Workout

  • 1.4 miles treadmill
  • BodyPump – 60 minutes

My treadmill distances are always so short because when I get to the gym I only have about 20 minutes to kill until BodyPump starts. Today I kept with the H.I.I.T theme and ran as fast as I could for one minute and then walked for two minutes repeating for a total of 1.4 miles.

Questions of the day:

  • What’s the best thing you’ve seen while driving? I saw a guy driving with a monkey on his shoulder once. A real monkey.
  • Do you collect Coke points or monopoly pieces or anything like that? Ever won anything really awesome?
  • Any plans for this weekend? It’s the last weekend of September!

  2. I don’t even know what Coke points are?! Am I missing out on something?

  3. Debbie

My son (22 and a college senior) collects Coke points and got the nicest set of Pyrex mixing bowls!

  4. I just saw H.I.I.T. classes on our gym class schedule this wk too! Maybe I will just watch… hahaha

  5. I used to love McDonalds Monopoly game when i was younger. There was a time in my life where I ate a lot of fast food, and you better believe I made a few extra stops a week to McDonalds to get myself some more pieces! :).

How sweet of your dad to “make you your own lasagna”. My dad would’ve said the same thing about how it’s crazy not adding meat. Just by your posts, they seem so similar!

The craziest thing I’ve ever seen was a zebra in North Dakota. I know I know, North Dakota I’m crazy, but seriously it was just hanging out with others on a farm lol.

Today I have a LR scheduled, not sure how long I wanna make it, kinda just winging my own distance. There will also be lots of football, and on Sunday I’m going to my first cricket game haha! Some of the Indians Joshua works with invited us, and since it’s right around the corner from us we couldn’t say no.

  6. I didn’t know there was Coke points. Back in the day, Coke was all I drank. Now..not so much. The only thing I seem to collect now is race bling. :-)
