Yesterday’s Workout and Weigh-In
- 3.25 miles treadmill (1 minute walk/1 minute fast run)
- Biggest Loser Circuit Workout – 60 minutes
I was really dreading the weigh-in yesterday because I know that I didn’t eat very well over the weekend and gained a little bit of weight. (It sucks that it takes me two weeks to lose a pound but only two days to gain it.)
I ended up losing 5.2 pounds since the last weigh-in. I am happy with that, although I knew it could have been higher. I plan on trying my hardest between now and the next weigh-in. So far since starting the Biggest Loser program, I have lost 12 pounds. Since I started my weight loss journey in March, I have lost 28 pounds.
We also had our body fat tested yesterday, and my body fat dropped down to 23%, so I was pretty happy about that.
Today’s Workout
- Butts and Guts Class – 60 minutes
Breakfast
I got the new issue of Fitness magazine over the weekend, and while I was flipping though it. I found the most amazing idea – eggs in a pepper ring! So delicious, yet so easy and simple. Why have I not thought of this before?!
Luckily, I happened to have eggs, red and green peppers, and onions on hand, so I decided to combine them to make an eggs in a pepper breakfast.
I simply cut thick rings from the peppers and laid them in a pan. Then, I added one egg white per pepper, threw in a few chopped red onions, and sprinkled a little bit of pepper on top. I cooked them for a few minutes and then flipped them over to cook the other side.
I rounded out my breakfast by adding a clementine and blueberries on the side.
In completely totally unrelated news, did you hear that Hasbro is bringing back the Furby for 2012?!
Furbies were the hot toy when I was young, and I actually got kind of excited that they were bringing them back…until I saw the price tag. $54!
$54 for a Furby?! That’s just crazy. You could pay $54, or you could do what I did and go to Goodwill, buy a Furby for $2.99, and save yourself $51.01.
Questions of the day:
- What you your favorite toy as a kid?
- What’s your favorite way to eat eggs?
- Have you ever had your body fat measured?

awesome Heather!
Thanks!
awesome idea! I used to love eggs in a toast frame when I was younger haha hmmm my favorite toy was probably beanie babies.. I loved those!
Eggs in toast is a great idea! I should try that for the kids!
Congratulations! Also to answer your questions:
■What you your favorite toy as a kid? I have no idea actually.
■What’s your favorite way to eat eggs? In my protein pancake or over-easy.
■Have you ever had your body fat measured? Absolutely, after my weight loss I was measured at a 23 and then again at 18 after 5 weeks of weight training. I’m aiming to go down much lower for my competition though! I bet mine was over 50% before the weight loss. Wooooah nelly. Sometimes I think about it and get goosebumps, 50% fat, ugh…
Wow – that’s awesome!! Great job!
Look at the big picture–down 28 pounds since you started this journey!!! That’s awesome! You should be very proud of yourself.
You’re right! I’m going to try to focus on the big picture more!

I had no idea that you had lost so much weight! You have always seemed so tiny since I have been following you. Have you been taking before and after pics to document the process?
My favorite toy as a child was definitely my Cabbage Patch Kid. Actually, I had three of them but one in particular, I took everywhere. I still love that doll, lol!
I loved my cabbage doll!! I think I still have her somewhere.
I posted before and after pics when I finished the spring loss challenge back in June, I think. I’ll do new ones after the biggest loser contest!

My mom just bought McCutie two Raggedy Ann dolls at the flea market in Wisconsin. She loves them!
