I Dropped My Grapes. Thanks, Mr. Bug.

Yesterday

Yesterday afternoon, I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese. I’ll admit it, I kind of like Chuck E Cheese. Who doesn’t love playing skee-ball and befriending a giant mouse? I don’t like it when it’s crowded, though. That’s why we go during the week rather than the weekend.

Our Chuck E Cheese just got some new games, including Fruit Ninja! How fun is it to play Fruit Ninja on a giant screen?! The kids loved playing it, and I might have played one game of it. Or ten.

I got the kids the world’s tiniest Chuck E Cheese pizza for lunch.

Chuck E Cheese actually has the calorie count of all their food listed on the menu when you first walk in. Each slice of the mini pizza only had 90 calories each. The only other restaurant that I’ve seen with the calorie count listed right on the giant menu is Panera.

Biggest Loser Weigh-In

Last night, was my Biggest Loser workout and weigh-in. We all started out working out, and then they called us out two at a time to be weighed and measured. I lost seven pounds. I am pretty happy with that. I was hoping for a 10 pound weight loss, but seven pounds is fine with me. The next weigh-in is about a month away.

Usually on Wednesdays, we have a workout and then the 5k prep, but we just got an email saying that instead of doing the scheduled workout, it’s been changed to a nutrition seminar instead.

We had to turn our food journals in last week, so I’m guessing the registered dietitian didn’t like what she saw which is why were having the nutrition seminar instead of a workout.

Today’s Workout

  • Butts and Guts Class

In today’s Butts and Guts class, we used the stability ball for the whole class. We used to for warm-up, strength, cardio, and cool down. I love this class because it’s so different every week, and always keeps my body guessing.

We don’t have much food in the house, so I had to stop at the store for some groceries for breakfast and dinner later. I was super hungry, so I ate a peach in the car on the way home from the store. When I got home, I made delicious peanut butter french toast.

I also had some grapes. I had more grapes on my plate than that, but when I opened the back door to go outside to take a picture, there was a green praying mantis on the door that startled me, and half of my grapes rolled off my plate and onto the floor. Kinda like that meatball song, but with grapes…

This afternoon, we’re off to pick up my niece and go to the library. Have a great day!

Questions of the day:

  • Are you scared of bugs? I hate them. The praying mantis didn’t super bother me, but other bugs do.
  • What’s your favorite kind of pizza?
  • Do you like calorie counts on menus?

  1. Corner bakery has calories listed as well. I love pizza with pineapple and Canadian bacon or Italian beef on it. It’s delicious !

  2. I miss skee ball! Those really were the days. My favorite pizza is an odd combination of spinach, pineapple, and tomato. I used to get it as this awesome pizza place when I lived in Memphis with a side of fried mac n cheese! Congrats on the 7#! That’s awesome!

  3. Sandee

7 pounds! That’s great! Here in California all the restaurants post the calories now. I rally like it and to me it makes it so much easier when ordering because I don’t even look at anything too high in calories. Some people think its a drag but I watch what I eat even when we go out so I prefer it. And I love all pizza !

  4. ahh i love skeeball! It’s probably one of my top fav games @ the arcade, along with basketball & deal or no deal!!

Sorry about your grapes :( Stupid bugs.. which I absolutely hate!!

**I love veggie pizzas, and bbq chicken too

  5. Thats so cool to have fruit ninja at Chuck E. Cheese!
Congrats on your 7lb weight loss! Holy Cow! That is awesome!
I love it when calories are posted! Makes me think twice about what I am about to order.

  6. My daughter loves that Fruit Ninja game…she would go crazy with it on a big screen like that!!!
