First Birthday Party Fun

Yesterday

Yesterday was my niece’s first birthday, so this post will contain lots of pictures of her cuteness. She had a Minnie Mouse birthday party.

Mama and her big girl!

Minnie Mouse Baby:

My sister-in-law’s friend, Reba, made this adorable tutu for my niece to wear. She looked so pretty.

Marlene made a Minnie Mouse cake, and it was so adorable. It’s one of my favorite cakes that she’s made.

McCutie Birthday Girl was pretty delicate with the cake and just wanted to eat the frosting off of it.

Marlene also made Minnie cupcakes for all the birthday guests. How cute did these turn out?!

After cake, it was time to open presents:

Overall, it was a first birthday party success! After the party, we helped my brother and sister-in-law load up the cars, and bring everything to their house. Then, we came home, and I parked my butt on the couch and stayed there the rest of the night. I was so tired from waking up early for the 5k and from all the birthday party fun.

Later in the night, Danny ran to Potbelly’s to get us some dinner. I had their new Mediterranean veggie sandwich. It had spicy hummus, feta cheese, artichokes, cucumbers, and roasted red peppers.

It was good, but incredibly messy which made eating it a pain. I liked it, but still prefer Panera’s Mediterranean veggie sandwich.

Today’s Workout

  • BodyPump – 60 minutes

I was so tired this morning because I hardly got any sleep last night, which is dumb because I was so tired, but I couldn’t fall asleep, and then I woke up at 6:45 am. I figured that since I was up, I should go to BodyPump – you never regret a workout!

I stopped a McDonald’s for a sugar-free iced coffee afterwards, and then made Kashi oatmeal topped with strawberries for breakfast.

Tonight is my weight-in for the Biggest Loser. Of course, it had to be the day after my niece’s birthday party where I ate tons for funfetti cake dip and a chocolate peanut butter cupcake. Oh well, we’ll see how it goes!

Questions of the day:

  • How’s your Monday going?
  • What was your favorite birthday party growing up?
  • Cake, pie, or ice cream? All three?

So far my Monday is good. I had lunch with an old friend, met a new friend and donated shoes! I will be hitting up family and friends for more shoes… For a good cause. Babies birthdays are fun! I had a sleepover in Jr High with 2 friends and we went to Old Chicago, amusement park. Chocolate cake, chocolate frosting!

  2. I woke up at 5am to workout at home on the treadmill. Going to try and get back into the habit of doing that. I also logged into my fitness pal for the first time in months. Trying to get in the habit of healthy eating and exercising again.
