Alright, I’m going to show you this picture only if you promise not to be jealous. Okay, okay, you can be jealous. If you were me, and I was you, I’d be jealous too.
Yes, that’s right I am wearing a pink fanny pack. Yes, you read that right. I said pink fanny pack.
I mentioned to my mom awhile ago that I should probably buy a pink fanny pack so that I could single-handedly start bringing back the 80′s in full force. So, for my birthday, my wonderful mom managed to find me a pink fanny pack! How fun is that?!
We found a new trail about two minutes from our house that we decided to go check out yesterday, and I figured it was the perfect opportunity to wear my new fanny pack. (I’m pretty sure all the stares those strangers gave me were because they were jealous, not because they thought I was crazy…right?)
That fanny pack came in handy. I was able to fit my camera, a bottle of water, Danny’s keys, my phone, and wet ones in there. Danny actually said I love your mom, because he’s the one who always gets stuck carrying everything.
Back to our walk…I can’t believe that we have had this trail by us for so long and never knew about it. It’s so big and there are so many different ways to go. We ended up walking about 2.25 miles before we came back to skip rocks. Well, Danny and the kids skipped rocks. I can’t skip a rock to save my life.
I was surprised the kids actually walked over 2 miles. They usually do good riding their bikes, but not so much with walking. I think they were having fun exploring.
Then my dad showed up. Apparently, he hates to be away from me for too long. Or maybe he just wanted to check out my pink fanny pack in person…
I have been so proud of my dad. He has been walking and riding his bike a lot lately. He did the two-mile walk at the Fox Trot on Saturday, walked even more over the weekend, and then was out riding his bike last night. Great job, Dad!
It’s about finding an exercise that you can do and enjoy doing. Exercise doesn’t necessarily have to be work, just find something that you enjoy.
We said good-bye to my dad, so he could finish his bike ride, then we went to McDonald’s for an ice cream cone…
I wasn’t too hungry this morning, so I just had a plain Greek yogurt with truvia and some cut-up strawberries mixed in. I tend to get hungrier as the day goes on. I know I should eat a bigger breakfast so that I’m not so hungry later, but sometimes it’s hard to eat a lot in the morning, especially if I’m going to the gym.
I woke up so sore from my Butts and Guts class yesterday. My butt hurts so bad, I can hardly walk up the stairs. And surprisingly, my lower back is sore too, not to mention my calves, hamstrings, and quads. BodyPump was not fun this morning, I was too sore.
It was a new BodyPump release today, and I wish I could have enjoyed it more. There was all new songs and a lot of new moves, plus tons of push-ups. The song for the squat track was Adele’s Someone Like You. Whenever this song comes on in the car, I sing my little heart out without a care in the world. I’m pretty sure Danny thinks it’s hilarious because I have the worst singing voice ever. Ever. So, when this song came on during BodyPump it took everything I had not to sing along at the top of my lungs.
I brought a mix1 protein drink for after my workout.
Then, Jaden and I feed the ducks and geese for a awhile. Those geese are mean. They don’t even give the poor duckies a chance to get any bread, and they hiss at them. I told Jaden that we better leave before the geese try to eat us.
In my future, I’m seeing a McDonald’s iced coffee. What do you see in your future?
Questions of the day:
- Have you ever in your life owned a fanny pack? Please tell me that you have.
- What’s your favorite year or era? Obviously, I love all things 80′s.
- When are you most hungry?
