Mozzarella Cheese Balls
Yesterday, I was starving, and we had no food in the house. I couldn’t leave the house because the baby was sleeping, so I browsed around Pinterest instead, and found a recipe for Mozzarella Cheese Balls via this blog. I did change the recipe up a bit.
This is the easiest, yet most delicious, recipe that I have ever made. It only requires a few ingredients, all of which I happened to have at home. Thank goodness.
First, I cut up two Frigo string cheese sticks into bite size pieces. I would have cut up more, but we only had two left.
Then, I put the pieces in a Ziploc bag, and stuck them in the freezer for about 15 minutes. That’s all I could wait because I was starving.
I dipped each piece into a beaten egg and a splash of milk. Then I rolled each piece in Italian breadcrumbs.
I baked them in a 400 degree over for about 9 minutes. Make sure to keep a good eye on them because they cook fast, and the cheese will ooze out everywhere.
I ate all of them. I didn’t share any. And they were delicious.
They’d also be great with marinara sauce, but I didn’t have any on hand. If you like mozzarella sticks, try this recipe and you won’t be disappointed. The best part is how easy they are!
