Yesterday, Jaden went to a birthday party for one of his classmates. It was at a place with giant inflatables for the kids to jump on. Jaden almost threw himself off of the inflatables a few times. I’m surprised there was no trips to the ER.
His favorite part was the rock climbing wall. He got about half way up before he got scared and flew down. By flew down, I mean he flapped his arms the whole way down. I was dying laughing.
That rock climbing wall is pretty cool. I actually want to try it myself. I found a few rock climbing walls in our area and am planning a day for my family to go climb it. Should be fun!
Jacob did the rock climbing wall too. This kid is like a spider monkey. He was all the way to the top in about a minute.
The birthday cake was so adorable. I’m thinking about getting the same one for my birthday…
After the party, we did a few errands and then went to Noodles and Co. for dinner.
For the first time in my life, I ordered something different. I got the Japanese pan noodles, minus the
fungus mushrooms. It was good, but the pasta fresca will always be my true love.
Speaking of eating, I have been eating pretty poorly this weekend. Papa John’s pizza, left over pizza, cake, cake and ice cream, Noodles and Co. and maybe a potato taco thrown in there. And today being Super Bowl Sunday won’t help matters much. Tomorrow will hopefully end my reign of junk food eating.
But there are some snacks that are healthy than others to enjoy this Super Bowl Sunday.
- Whole grain chips and crackers
- Salsa – low cal and full of veggies!
- White Bean Dip
- Veggie pizza on thin crust
- Pistachios (shells slow you down)
- Fruit and Veggies
Questions of the day:
- Have you ever been indoor rock climbing?
- What’s your favorite party snack?
- Any Super Bowl plans today?
