Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Dinner tonight was brown sugar pork chops. This was my first time making them and my husband said they came out great. Even my picky four-year old loved them!

Brown Sugar Pork Chops - Serves 3

  1. 1/4 cup brown sugar
  2. 1/4 cup apple juice
  3. 1 tbsp canola oil
  4. 3 tsp. lite soy sauce
  5. 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  6. salt & pepper to taste

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, apple juice, oil, soy sauce, ginger, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Place pork chops in a pan and pour mixture over. Marinate 30 minutes. (If you’re running short on time, you could skip this step).
  4. Bake approx. 30 minutes, depending on thickness of pork chops. Broil 10 minutes.
  5. Enjoy!

Since I don’t eat pork chops, I had honey Dijon salmon that I had in the freezer. We also had carrots and mashed potatoes.

I’m excited for tomorrow because I am taking my son to a free art class at Whole Foods. Mostly I’m excited because I get to eat lunch there.
