Dinner tonight was brown sugar pork chops. This was my first time making them and my husband said they came out great. Even my picky four-year old loved them!
Brown Sugar Pork Chops - Serves 3
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 3 tsp. lite soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- salt & pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, apple juice, oil, soy sauce, ginger, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Place pork chops in a pan and pour mixture over. Marinate 30 minutes. (If you’re running short on time, you could skip this step).
- Bake approx. 30 minutes, depending on thickness of pork chops. Broil 10 minutes.
Since I don’t eat pork chops, I had honey Dijon salmon that I had in the freezer. We also had carrots and mashed potatoes.
I’m excited for tomorrow because I am taking my son to a free art class at Whole Foods. Mostly I’m excited because I get to eat lunch there.
